Memoirs of Jacobinsky's years in Eastern European Yeshivot and in the labor movement (32 typewritten pages). Translated into English from the original Yiddish as it appeared in the Forward in 1952. Also included are newspaper clippings from the original article in the Forward, copies of some of these pages, and material on the town of Jedwabne where Jacobinsky was born an raised. Contains a photograph of Jacobinsky's semikhah certificate signed by Rabbi Shimon Shkop, 1904. This MS. contains photocopies of his lecture notes from Yeshivat Telz, the originals of which are in MS. 1268(1).

Born in Jedwabne, Poland, Jacobinsky studied in the Yeshivot of Lomza, Telz, and Volozhin and received semikhah from Mordechai Karelitser. He entered the socialist movement in Russia by joining the Bund at the turn of the century and then became a labor union leader in New York in Local 17 of the Cloakmakers' Union.
